Multimodal transport

Multimodal transport is a complex process. It consists of goods transportation within one contract and one carrier, but with the use of two or more different means of transportation. It allows not only to fulfill orders in door-to-door system but also reduce overall costs and facilitate the shipping process. Due to the complexity of the process, it requires a considerable amount of planning and relevant preparation, so that no incidents take place on the way. Such a solution is often used on long-distance routes, especially when transportation to another continent or a place not available to traditional road transportation comes into the picture. It needs to be emphasized again, that all activities are carried out within one shipping carrier’s operations – they are responsible for the cargo for the whole shipping route.

In order to ensure optimal delivery times and service quality, we strive to choose the best shipping route, taking optimal costs, delivery time and reliability of means of transportation used into account. We engage various means of transportation, choosing them appriopriately in regards to weight and type of cargo as well as distance to the recipient and time span within which it has to arrive at its destination.

We have numerous contacts and a diversified vehicle fleet at our disposal. We will engage railway transport for heavy loads destined for Eurasia, and in case of priority shipments – a cargo plance. We will prepare a detailed plan in advance, including all reloading hubs and storage facilities on a planned, optimal route.
